New Painting: The Loch
I was watching this awesome documentary called Objectified while painting this. It’s a film about product design and I completely geeked out to it. It made me want to paint more simply and design conscious which I think shows in the painting.

NEW COMIC: BEARDAMORPHOSIS
Here is a new comic about the world’s first beard.

STORE OPEN FOR BUSINESS
The online store is now up and running. Currently I have two low-priced comics for sale. I’m unemployed so any purchases would be greatly appreciated. Also my comics can be purchased at stores around Portland, Oregon (see the store section for complete list).

NEW PAINTING: Share With The Dead
Here is a new painting I recently finished titled “Share With The Dead”. Leave a comment with some compliments or constructive criticism.

Two New Minicomics
I just finished my first two minicomics.
“Okay? Okay!” – 64 pages / black & white
A double comic featuring work by Aaron Whitaker and Melinda Boyce. It is the real love story of the two artists told through two perspectives in two contrasting art styles.

“Future Ghost” – 44 pages / some color
A fictional story of a girl house sitting for the summer.

Both of these comics will be sold at APE in San Francisco this weekend. They will soon be available online and at many Portland comic book shops (I hope).
APE 2009
Come see me in San Francisco, October 17 & 18 at the Alternative Press Expo. I will be selling original art work, comics and t-shirts. Plus check out all the other talented artists and cartoonists there.

“Okay? Okay!” coming out Oct 17th
Okay? Okay! is a 60-page “double”-comic book following a relationship from two different perspectives through two different comic styles. One direction tells my view and the other direction features my girlfriend, Melinda Boyce’s, account. During the process we did not let the other see what each of us was drawing.

The comic will be released at the 2009 Alternative Press Expo in San Fransico this October 17 & 18. Shortly afterwards it will be available for purchase online and at some Portland, OR comic book stores.
I will post some more pictures soon.
